I drove around Europe for a while in a sprinter but I wondered what it would be like to drive a truck. My friend Jirka told me they were hiring new drivers at MOSS and they would have taught me everything. I called there, stoped by and decided to accept the offer. And it worked.
When I got my driver's licence I was really looking forward to my first journey. But I was also a little afraid that I would come, get the keys from the truck and go. At MOSS I was first put in a cargo with a lift and I had an experienced trainer next to me. I learned everything gradually.
People at MOSS are fine, we are good friends and atmosphere is very informal. Dispatchers are people experienced in transport, they understand their work and try their best to help drivers on the way. They always explain the new shipment well to me and they are reachable if I need anything.

I'm a woodworker, but I did the carpentry only briefly right after school. After that I started to work in MOSS thanks to the friend´s recommendation. And it has already been 16 years I spent in the MOSS warehouse. I initially worked as a warehouseman, we had only two carts, everything was pulling manually, stock records were made in Microsoft excel. Today thanks to new technologies we have plenty of storage technology and our job is easier.

At present I am responsible for storing a group of customers, guarding and optimizing inventory, packing goods on pallets, training new colleagues. I like space around myself, I can not sit in the office, so I enjoy this job.

In MOSS I deal with the administrative part of the warehousing expedition - I prepare the documents for the delivery drivers. I've been working here for 15 years and because I live nearby I ride a bike to work when possible. We are not only colleagues in the office but after those years also good friends. There is much laughing during the working day, we do not take ourselves very seriously, have glass of wine after work... I met my boyfriend at company barbecue seven years ago - Luboš works as an international driver in MOSS.

I have been distributing goods from the warehouse to the stores all over the country for 15 years. First I drove a truck but I wanted to spend more time at home with my family. That is why I changed MOSS vehicle and destinations. I have been in the company since MOSS has started logistics services and warehousing. There were only five drivers, today there are twenty of them. I enjoy my job - my vehicle is loaded with electronical appliances by warehousemen in the morning. I just sit in and drive to several unloading spots that my dispatchers planned the day before. I'm at home twice a week and I have free weekends.

I started as a driver in MOSS, driving all over Europe with various types of vehicles. Preferably Sweden and England, these were my favorite destinations. After a while when the chance occured I decided to work as a dispatcher. Driving helped me a lot at the beginning - I knew the routes and approximate times to destinations. I also had a better picture of loading cars, or distribution - driving for years was worth it.

Today I plan transport on small vehicles that carry lighter loads. I talk to drivers about their routes, terms of unloading and communicate with customers as well. One must always be alert because each shipment is different. But even though it's a tough job thanks to almost 14 years of experience I work with care and insight. After work I relax with fishing lane around the pond - it is my big hobby.

After those years I can see where the company moved.

When I was deciding what to do, I wanted to be a bricklayer or plumber. But both my parents worked in ČSAD and had decided I became an autoelectric, because it is less dirty than a classic car mechanic. And so it was, and I've been doing my mechanics for all my life. I had car repairs as a business before but I still had to deal with unpaid invoices and other issues. After the MOSS offer came, I quit business and became a MOSS mechanic.

When I look back today the beginning was pretty funny - we had a superstructure from the old V3S vehicle and were repairing cars in the open area the first year. Today we have a modern service, a spare parts store and a guaranteed job because we have 300 vehicles in MOSS. It might seem like I'm still doing the same, and I'm not moving anywhere but it's not. With the improvement of trucks and the ever-improved technology, I'm still learning something new. I'm a pragmatist, so I appreciate the stability of the company. I have been working here eleventh year and I'm happy.

I worked as a teacher but after five years of teaching I needed a change. In MOSS I started to work in a warehouse, depatment with sport shoues and household supplies. Our team picked out the goods from racking system according to the delivery notes, packed it and handled it to transport companies. Two years later I applyed for the receptionist position and I succeeded.
Work at the reception desk is less physically demanding than in the warehouse. It is different, I have to think about many things, if they are finished and mustn´t forget about anything. I have the responsibility for post, classing incoming invoices, switching telephones, and dealing with all the issues that meet at the reception. I'm more in touch with people, it's not such a routine. I enjoy it and my days are running very fast.
